Amidst the olive trees, breathtaking views and the wild romance of Italy, these two beautiful souls tied the knot in the most perfect wedding.

Bride, Sophie wore the most romantic wedding gown with billowy sleeves while Matt was every so chill & casual. A true fairytale romance in the making. We can’t wait to see the rest of their journey through love and life.

Some may say the romance of Italy can only be felt in person, but we disagree. The mystery, magic and romance of Italy is so much more. Fall in love with this dream wedding in Florence Italy.

Here’s Their Story…

They had first met at a wine tasting. Some of their friends had gotten together and Gianna was someone’s plus one- her boyfriend at the time. He had spent the whole evening wolfing down the cheese and the wine and they broke up a couple of days later. But something else had happened, she had locked eyes with Alessandro; a timid young man perpetually by the bar and not one for easy conversation. After a few drinks, he had noticed her solitude and she had gone up to him to make small talk just because he looked interesting.

After her breakup one day she got a call from an unknown number and as she picked up she heard a voice on the other line ‘how about some real wine this time around?’ and her whole body had burst into electric currents- such was the effect of his voice. He picked her up from her apartment and took her to the winery sort of as a surprise. They walked through the alleys of grapes with the rugged ground under their feet and the cold breeze blowing through. They spoke of their life and Sophie felt something she had dreamed about once but never felt with anyone. Alessandro wasn’t an effort, he wasn’t trying, and he wasn’t difficult. He was easy, breezy company. He showed a free-flowing kind of warmth, the kind that engulfs anyone around. She felt the voices in her heart had finally be lulled to a sweet whispering.

They continued to meet, they went to Rome and had a ‘Roman Holiday’ styled day the way Audrey Hepburn and Gregory Peck had had decades ago. Roadside cafes and dinner on a boat- it was all too perfect, too dream-like. When they came back from their trip they had known each other for 8 months. After dinner with Alessandro’s parents, he proposed. It wasn’t planned but he knew he’d never felt this way about anyone.

They decided it was only fitting there be a vineyard wedding in Florence. They chose a little family-owned and run vineyard and rented it for the day. Lights were hoisted on poles and put everywhere to prepare for the evening’s festivities, rows and rows of flowers decorated the pathways. Old oak tables and wrought iron chairs made for the sitting area, and the rustic, earthy, Italian architecture was left center stage to speak for itself.

Sophie chose an off-shoulder gown, her short hair simply pinned, and a natural makeup with subtle tones. The gown was a beautiful work of art, even partially an heirloom. The pearls on the sleeves and the back had belonged to Sophie’s grandmother and the lace fabric had been saved for many years by Sophie’s mother. They had decided on every aspect of the gown from the pleating to its phenomenal flowing visage and it had turned out to be breathtaking. So much so that Sophie hadn’t worn much jewelry apart from her engagement ring.

Alessandro and Gianna saw each other at the ceremony and everything seemed to have come full-circle. Their fateful meeting nearly a year ago at a wine tasting and now the perfect vineyard wedding. Fate was ironic and glorious.
